A banking client of ours in midtown is looking for a Relationship Manager to join their Commercial Real Estate team.

Overview:
This full-time role focuses on promoting banking products to corporate clients in the commercial real estate sector while managing associated risks.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Business Development:
    • Identify and solicit targeted clients.
    • Build and maintain relationships, promoting approved banking products.
    • Assess client needs and uncover business opportunities.
    • Evaluate transactions and negotiate terms with partners.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely service delivery.
    • Monitor portfolio performance and achieve annual targets.
  2. Due Diligence and Credit Assessment:
    • Lead initial due diligence and collaborate on KYC processes.
    • Prepare credit rating applications and financial analyses.
    • Communicate with credit departments and present proposals to the approval committee.
    • Oversee the credit application process and ensure timely closings.
  3. Risk Management:
    • Own and manage risks as the first line of defense.
    • Conduct loan classifications and portfolio monitoring.
    • Identify potential credit issues and work with credit teams to adjust ratings as needed.
    • Perform post-disbursement reviews and manage client risks.
  4. Client Relationship Management:
    • Maintain a communication log and gather client feedback.
    • Develop plans to enhance client relationships and economic returns.
    • Coordinate client visits and ensure timely responses to their needs.
    • Propose tailored solutions to improve engagement and cross-selling.
  5. Risk Management Enhancement:
    • Follow remediation plans and cooperate with teams for implementation.
    • Participate in training to enhance risk management practices and provide feedback.
  6. Other Duties:
    • Adhere to company policies and compliance requirements.
    • Attend training sessions and prepare necessary reports.
    • Provide support to team members and assist with ad-hoc tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related fields.
  • 5-7 years of experience in U.S. commercial real estate credit or marketing; credit training is beneficial.
Skills:
  • Proven ability to originate across multiple product lines.
  • Strong planning, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Excellent communication skills, detail-oriented, and a self-starter.
Compensation Range: $155,000 - $180,000
