Trevose Partners was keen to support a candidate’s wish in moving industry sectors from sell side Global Markets to Asset Management and not only that, but also to relocate from Edinburgh to London. Not only is it tricky to garner interest from clients remotely, there was also the issue of remote interviewing to contend with. The candidate motivation was there though, and it made us feel confident that we could and should work hard for them.
During the vetting process, Trevose Partners put together a targeted client marketing plan, which included our existing buy-side clients and also a list of companies that he had shown particular interest in. The lesson learnt here is that Trevose Partners listened intently to the candidates’ preferences, time-line requirements, and motivations, and took a proactive approach to support those needs.
We approached a client of his choice, and they ended up hiring him in tot their business after a short but thorough interview process. A year on and they are enjoying the London lifestyle and after four years of trying to make the move South, he had an offer through Trevose Partners with a globally established Asset Manager in London.
