Country Head, Japan

Having assisted a major global post trade organization to recruit most of its APAC team, Trevose Partners was engaged to find a Country Head for the Japanese business.

Challenge

This search came with a very narrow set of parameters, and as such, left us with a small pool of potential candidates. The ideal candidate was required to have to have a wealth of experience in the Japanese market in order to be credible to both clients and regulators. At the same time, as part of a larger global business, the candidate needed to demonstrate the ability to operate at senior management level within an organization which has a primarily western culture and focus. 

Approach

By engaging our extensive APAC network we were introduced to a Japanese MD who had spent many years working for a leading US bank and was already well known to some members of the board.

Outcome

This search allowed Trevose to demonstrate our ability to take a narrow, complex set of requirements and to delivery on them successfully in a very timely manner.
